Best Diet Tips for Healthy You

Never ever skip breakfast.

It is proved through studies that eating a proper breakfast is one of the most positive things you can do if you are trying to lose weight. Breakfast skippers are more likely to gain weight. A balanced breakfast includes fresh fruit or fruit juice, a high-fiber breakfast cereal, low-fat milk or yogurt, whole-wheat toast, and a boiled egg.

Carbohydrates rich diet

It is recommended that half the calories in our diet should come from foods rich in carbohydrates, such as cereals, rice, pasta, potatoes, and bread. It is a good idea to include at least one of these at every meal. Wholegrain foods, like whole grain bread, pasta, and cereals, will increase our fiber intake.

Pure water

Avoid soft drinks or energy drinks especially while you're exercising. Stay properly hydrated by drinking enough water during your workout (just don't overdo things, as drinking too much water can also be dangerous). To find out exactly how much water you should be drinking, divide your body weight (in pounds) by two and aim to drink that many ounces of water every day.

Fruits and vegetables

Fruit and vegetables should be an important part of your daily diet. They are naturally good and contain vitamins and minerals that can help to keep you healthy. They can also help protect against some diseases. You should eat at least five serves of vegetables and two serves of fruit each day. Choose different colors and varieties. A serve of vegetables is about one cup of raw salad vegetables or 1/2 cup of cooked.

Reduce salt and sugar intake

Sugar provides sweetness and an attractive taste, but sugary foods and drinks are rich in energy and are best enjoyed in moderation, as an occasional treat. We could use fruits instead, even to sweeten our foods and drinks. High salt intake can result in high blood pressure, and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Meals at regular times

Taking your meals at regular times during the day helps burn calories at a faster rate. It also reduces the temptation to snack on foods high in fat and sugar. It boosts your metabolism and keeps you energized.
